Here is a photo of the 1939? Exhibit (ESCO) Contact backbox I recently bought for parts.

This machine was one of the first pinball machines with an animated backglass,
consisting of an animated 'flying' biplane behind the backglass.

There are two relays missing in this backboard, the tag near the one circled in red on the right
says it is a 'X12 delayed relay' that controls the speed of the animation's movement.

The tag near the relay circled in red on the left only says that it is a
'gravity delayed relay', but does not say what the relay was used for.

I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what this relay operated in this certain machine,
and also what exactly is a 'gravity delayed relay' anyway?

PS. If you think the back of this backboard is ugly, wait until you see the front...
