Bowing to customer
demand, Angeltone has released three of the company’s most requested
‘stratstyled’
custom
guitar pickups as regular models – the 5S4B, the
5S7E, and the 6S9J.
The 5S4B is a 5S4
pickup with Alnico III magnets in the correct pre1955 staggering
scheme and
a special coil winding for maximum ‘bell tone’ or ‘chime’ for lovers of
early
rockabilly music.
The 5S7E is a
custom 5S7 with Alnico II magnets to mimic the warmer tone
of a very
well played ’57, with a custom wound coil for more power and drive
while
still preserving the tonal detail that made these pickups famous.
The 6S9J is a
6S9 with LEFT HANDED ‘late staggered’ Alnico V magnets and original spec
black top/light
gray vulcanized fiber bobbin plates and 42 gauge plain enamel coil wire
for guitarists wishing to get tonally ‘more experienced’ without having
to buy a new instrument!
