We are really
'vintage obsessed' at
Angeltone Musical Instruments...
so
much so that we
actually
believe that using
as many actual vintage machine shop machines
and tools as possible is
the best way to make fine
vintage inspired instruments.
It's hard to
explain, but for us
using actual
working
1950's machines, tools and equipment
whenever possible to make our
instruments seems to add that 'little extra
something'
that
helps our
Angeltone
musical instrument pickups sound so good.
Call it 'mojo', or maybe it's
the old school
visuals, or just because 'they don't build
them like that
anymore',
but
for whatever the
reason... it works for us.
So, we
are searching for the
following
equipment in usable (or at least repairable)
condition -
48 pitch gears
(1/8" thick with 1/4" bore), cams, or any
other parts for 1950's George Stevens
electromechanical pickup machine winder
Delta/Rockwell scroll saw parts for
the
24" industrial scroll saw (a stand or
'variable speed' drive
parts)
Delta or Walker-Turner
drill presses (either bench or floor
mount)
1950's Delta or Rockwell
11/2 to 3 HP fixed base router with
aluminum body
Large commercial disc
sander - 12" diameter or bigger
Famco brand bench
mounted arbor presses in
sizes 0 or 1
Stackbin brand sheet metal
storage bins in sizes 0
to 4
Bridgeport 'round ram'
(1940's vintage) or J head (1950's) vertical
milling machine
(either 'pulley
drive' or variable speed motor - bad
motor/electrical issues or bad
bearings are OK but
no cracked or
broken
castings please)
Parts or
tooling for a 1957 Monarch
10EE 'square dial' toolroom lathe, such as
Aloris quickchange
toolholders in size 100 or an
original follower rest
Please
email
us if you have any of these for sale,
stating price, condition and
location.
Thank you,
Angeltone Musical Instruments
